Volunteers are at the heart of Travelers Aid’s work at airports, bus and train stations. Last year, nearly 2,100 Travelers Aid volunteers assisted more than 9 million people at our 24 transportation centers on 2 continents.
Several of our social service agencies use volunteers to round out their professional administrative staff and on the frontline, such serving meals. An additional 150 volunteers helped at these agencies.
The “job” is rewarding and always interesting. Our volunteers, who enjoy traveling themselves and come from diverse backgrounds, find that providing “A Helping Hand Along the Way” is a great way to give back.
